Simple changes that unlock smoother isolations, better balance, and full-body connection.
You don’t need to be a pro to move like one. If you’ve ever felt blocked in your hips, stiff in your isolations, or disconnected from your flow — it’s probably not that you’re doing it wrong. It’s that you haven’t been shown how to connect yet.
In this video, I’m breaking down 3 simple fixes that will instantly help you move better, improve your hip mobility, and gain more control in your body isolations.
These aren’t fancy tricks — they’re foundational tools I use in every Curvora™ class, and they can completely shift how your body feels when you dance.
1. Bend Your Knees — Always
This is rule #1 in Curvora™. We don’t stand stiff — we stay grounded.
Keeping your knees bent activates your legs, opens your hips, and creates a base of control. It gives your body room to isolate, shift, and move with power. When your legs are locked, your hips can’t move freely — it’s like trying to flow with the brakes on.
Bend to connect. Bend to control. Bend to unlock your movement.
2. Lift Through Your Knees, Not Your Chest
When you rise out of a move, think about leading through the knees instead of lifting from the chest or shoulders.
Why? Because lifting from the knees keeps your pelvis grounded, your spine aligned, and your hips supported. It prevents the upper body from overpowering your movement and keeps everything clean and controlled.
This technique helps you keep your energy low and centered — the key to fluid, grounded hip isolations.
3. Use the Balls of Your Feet to Stay Smooth
Footwork is everything when it comes to smooth hip motion.
When you're flat-footed, your weight gets stuck. But when you shift your weight slightly forward — onto the balls of your feet — you create mobility, bounce, and fluidity.
This helps with turns, transitions, and most importantly: clean, soft hip movement.
Why This Matters in Curvora™
Curvora™ isn’t just about moving — it’s about moving with intention. Every detail — the knees, the feet, the lift — affects how free you feel in your body.
These three adjustments might seem small, but they’re everything when it comes to creating stronger isolations, better balance, and hip control that feels natural.
Whether you're just starting out or refining your flow, these are the foundations that will carry you.

Curvora™ is about moving from your hips, but leading with your power.
Let’s unlock your next level — one grounded move at a time.
